Eating Well
We take in all kinds of signals/cues from the outside world without
ever discerning whether we want to put those encapsulations of information
into our bodies/thoughts/feelings. We would never just put whatever
was lying around into our mouths as food. And yet we do that with
energy. We do not ask ourselves do I want this energy in my body.
Begin to become aware of the energies around you and decide what
you want to take into your body. Also as we are on the subject begin
to observe what kind of energy you are putting out there. How we
are in the world adds to the scheme of things – so for example,
if you want more peace – become more peaceful in your thoughts
and actions.
This is a great practice to develop.
Eating Colour
Eating well means learning to listen to your body. Let us begin
with a simple technique that we use at the Nizhoni School. Sit in
a comfortable place. Take a deep breath and close your eyes allowing
your self to become centered. Now take another deep breath and ask
your body what colour it wants to feel nourished. Take the first
colour you perceive and draw that into your body from the universe
and see where it enters. Fill your whole body with this colour until
you feel completely nourished. Then take a couple of deep breaths
and open your eyes.
DIY (do it yourself)
We forget that we are what we eat. Think about it next time you
are cooking or preparing your meal. What is the quality of your
thoughts? Are you happy, sad, angry or stressed. Wherever you happen
to be on the emotional barometer that is what is going into your
food and in turn into your body. So when you are cooking take a
moment and think about what you would like to put into your dish.
Think of it as an ingredient or flavouring, for example, a pinch
of peace, a dash of joy or lashings of love!!! Continue adding these
ingredients to whatever you are preparing until your dish is ready
and then simply serve it with a smile! You will taste and feel the
difference.
Energizing food
Energize your food by placing your hands over the food and radiate
healthy, nourishing energy to it. Just like a good drum beat or
rhythm the energy particles in your food will begin to resonate
to the "vibe " you are extending out. Your food will now
have an extra energy kick! Do it every time you eat.
