Smell
What is your smell? Have you ever wondered what you really smell
like? Want to find out? Wash the inside area of your arm with warm
water, no soaps etc. Wash it a few times and dry with a paper towel
(non scented). Now leave your arm bare for a few hours so that your
natural smells/oils can arise to the surface of the skin. After
the few hours take a good sniff of your skin – move along
the arm taking in the smells. Do you like your smell? Is it familiar
to you? How would you describe your scent?
Do you smell of the food you eat like onions, garlic or meats? Is
it a metallic or musky smell?
We can smell fear, illness, attraction or wellness. If your smell
does not smell "good" take into consideration what you
have put into your body recently - anything from food to secondary
smoke to medications. A simple way to ensure a healthy body scent
is to make sure your digestion and elimination processes work well.
Eating a vegetable and fruit rich diet and exercising go a long
way in creating a healthy scent that expresses your own personal
chemical signature to the world.
Listening
Sound streams through our ears and we discern what we want to listen
to and what is just background noise. Take a moment and turn your
awareness to just listening. Listen for the quietest sounds and
then listen to the most distracting sounds. How do you feel? Are
some sounds calming while others irritating?
Now let’s support the ears by washing out the whole mechanism
that hears, listens and discerns the inner and outer realities for
you. Take a deep breath and close your eyes. Now on your next deep
breath ask your ears what colour or colours they want to wash out
residual sounds/noise. Take the first colour or colours that you
perceive and imagine them coming from the universe directly into
the ears and begin to wash them out. Allow yourself to take as much
colour as your ears want. Do not hold on to the sounds or interpret
what the sounds/noise are about. Just allow them to flow out. Wonderful.
When you feel you have completely washed out your ears take another
deep breath and open your eyes.
Has the quality of your listening changed? Do you feel more peaceful?
Touch
We all want to be touched. Take a moment today and bring your palms
together, gently touching each other. Feel the heat, the texture
- the left hand seeking the right hand and the right hand seeking
the left. Now slide your palms up and down, allowing your self to
feel the sensual quality that comes from touching. Continue doing
this for a few moments, you may want to close your eyes. What do
you feel? Let the energy extend out from your palms, you may feel
it as heat or a tingling sensation.
Breathe, stay connected to your feelings. You can play with this
heightened sensitivity in your hands by touching your face, feeling
the contours, the smoothness of your skin. Imagine that as your
hands touch your face it is the divine touching you, getting to
know you, feeling who you are in a body.
Let your hands be the hands of a lover, a parent, the divine touching
you - let them be your hands loving you!!! Have fun.
